Solar fx vintage and carbon line.

Recommended Posts

I am trying the solar fx carbon film line and notice it Has a faint blue hue on the 35% . How does the vintage look as far as matching to factory tint.  My global has a  light charcoal shade and comes pretty close in the 20% but seems a little darker the factory.  Me being picky.   I just ordered a 30%qdp to see how that compares . I'm looking for a more true black film. I called dragon and he advised me the carbon Or vintage would be better. I wanted to reach out to fellow Tinter's for advice before I spend money on the rolls and it is not what I thought and sits on my shelf.

Been using Solar FX for over 3 years now, mostly Vintage for dealer work, Carbon for retail. The 30% or 32% is best match in my opinion for factory glass. Vintage seems a little darker than Carbon. Zero warranties turned in so far on either films. Vintage is color weatherable and carbon is color stable.
