I was a fan of that Milwaukee until we tried the porter cable. Half the price too and it runs at 1500 degrees and has a dial. Works better on Crystalline for us. Super durable so far as well.

Porter Cable

Thanks for the info. Where were you last week lol. What's the CFM on it?

Fan Setting 1 - Airflow 10-11 CFM
                        Temp. 120-900 Degrees

Fan Setting 2 - Airflow 16-19 CFM

                        Temp. 130-1150 Degrees

Milwaukee goes to 14cfm so this Porter Cable on high is hotter with more air flow. All our installers like it better. Its under $30 so I bought a bunch of them. Just outstanding so far.

I really like the porter cable heat gun for this film. Been messing with the pocket method which is a little tough to get used to. So far I like using med heat under and high heat over in a ryk style shrink. I do card the film periodically throughout the process. When interwest rep came to train at the shop i work at he used pocket method but split into quadrants. It was a brand new armada shield and about 4 pieces later and fighting fingers on the install we were able to successfully complete it. Seems like there are some definite limitations to the film. What are some of the tougher Windows you guys have accomplished? and I'm interested in what style shrink Houston is talking about
