MMM Crystalline Peeps

Recommended Posts

Hi,

was wondering how everyone is shrinking their Crystalline. As of late I have been using the "floating" method.

Recently I have been getting some stress bubbles in the film. I thought I could heat them out but that doesn't really work with Crystalline. At least for me. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about. Its like a super tight ripple in the film. Ruins everything for me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

:nope No not me, was not a MMM guy when I was doing auto. Only messed with the CR a few times. Just looks like over shrinking. :sorry

No Problem. I am talking with my MMM Rep as well. I am using a new shrink method (new to me anyway), so I'm sure I am messng it up. Just want to know how to rectify it so I can stop losing $$$$ lol.

There are two keys to shrink Crystalline.  The first is listed above...low heat w/ high air flow, we actually use a different heat gun with Crystalline.  The second is to wait 5 seconds between heating the film and knocking it down.  The 200 layers will collapse down on each other during that 5 seconds.

Here is a video from 3M with one of their trainers.
