Blackdout
I’m trying to remove old tint off a bg and the first layer comes out fine but the second layer is flaking in a million pieces. Is there anyway to remove the tint without damaging the defrosters. I’ve been using a steamer with no luck. Any help would be appreciated

jh812
What kind of vehicle is it? Only thing you may be able to try is bagging it. Not sure it'll work at this point though.

It’s a 98 accord coupe. Think the tint has been on since about that time too. 🤯

TNTLady
Sounds lik the kind of removal job that makes ya want to scream, through crap and want to shut the doors and quit for good. I really have no good advice for you.....I can count on one hand the rear glass removal jobs like that that totally slayed me. Maybe tell the customer what you have discovered about it and explain you will have to scrape the entire glass thereby removing the defroster in order to get it tinted. CaliTINT
I did one the other day and at that point had to pull out the razor blades. The tinting over it then removing sounds interesting if it works.
