Stainless Steel Blade Comparison

I have been using Olfa Stainless steel blades for over 16 years now and have never really had any problems with them. Decided to try the NT stainless to see how it compared. Seems that the NT dulls faster than the Olfa. Is it just my imagination?

Olfa is all I've ever used. Don't know anything at all about the NT blades.

same with me lite. either they aren't as sharp, or they dull faster. especially on full metal films. it's not your imagination.

The only reason why I even decided to try the NT is because a certain person who was employed by us for about 2 weeks told me that NT will never scratch glass no matter how you cut on it. Since I am always open to try new things, I bought a pack and will not buy it again. At least I know the difference now.

As for not scratching the glass, I wouldn't put my money on that statement. Maybe that is why he was only with us for 2 llooonnnnggggg weeks.

I was taught to use olfa and have never used anything else

(yeah I know I don't tint anymore but I do cut graphics on a glass tabletop)

My boss had about 30 boxes of NT blades when I got here. He still has 29 boxes. The NT blades are more difficult to break off.

I'm with the echo here, the nt's dull way to fast for stainless steel.
