if it's legal do it. layering's no big deal. if it's being done with good film on both layers. true there will be no warranty but it's not gonna fail any quicker.
-
yeah...wtf, where's the red dot version biatch?
-
been using it for years...bugs my wife but like I give a shiat

the older the plexi the less outgassing that occurs. your windows must be pretty old. less outgassing......less problems. just do 'em right the first time.
-
if the windows are plexi you're screwed. plastics outgas. meaning the tint will eventually bubble and look like hell. then removing the tint will cause more problems because removing the glue means scraping the window. razor blades and plexi don't mix well.
back to square one. replace the windows.

I know for sure that there are windows like this
even the windows like this are light-dependent.

paint is paint dude. krylon is paint, not tint. you're not going to see through it.

I have seen a Pub nearby that has a sort of "silver" looking tint and you can't see anything at all inside of the pub even if you are standing right at the door on the outside, this is what I need.
It doesn't work that way at night with lights on inside. But, bars are kept pretty darkly lit. The side with the most light is always going to be seen through the film. It's a given.

this customer came in today. we tinted his car this summer. cool guy. without checking with us he bought a PPF kit for his Porsche 928. then called us to install it. I said sure no problem...no warranty. well the kit was total shiat. oooooooold PPF obviously....would scratch up like a mofo just by barely squeegeeing it. didn't stick worth a crap. the kit didn't fit worth a crap and ontop of that the kit came with 2 driver's side kits for the mirrors rather than both sides.
I called him and said no go...I'm not going to turn out crap like this. there's no computercut kit available for a 928 so he had me make up a kit using our clearshield (using the kit he got) somewhat as a template. turned out great! one piece mirrors instead of 3. one piece bumper. :inot
he came in saying, "wow, I actually had to lean down and look for an edge to even tell that it was there!"

I never said shiat about closing it...just said... nice thread fuggin aye

we did a job like that a week ago...about 15 windows 78 x 100. not PS adhesive though. that had to have sucked for you the only thing in our way were hot tubs and a few neon signs. with windows that big I backroll the film then do an initial squeegee with one of my brass cleaning squeegees. then go back and hit it with a blue max.
-
practically every car out there has the dot edge somewhere. atleast it doesn't have the 6" dot matrix on the top of the back glass.

excellent tip...the only way to do PPF installs. unless you have an actual lift.
