you seem to be avoiding the question. how far below the as-1 line can definitely mean that he could have realized that it was too big. 1/2" below you've got an argument. 2" below you don't. there are MANY cops here who have a hard-on for ticketing for tint. they know the laws and know what to look for. and some cops could have been tinters too. i know of 2 here in town and 1 here on the board.

typically AS-1 lines are about 4" from the top. pretty easy to tell if a strip is too big. doesn't take a tinter or rocket scientist....i'm sure even a cop can figure that one out.

so you're windshield strip's too big? pay $20 and have it removed and be done with it.

I like there films they have to offer! Shrinks well, applies well, and has decent longevity to it!
i love their films.

quantum and executive are very similiar. and my guess would be one of the two.

okee dokee then and don't call me sir.

looks as though you don't know your own law kingding....my understanding is that it's 25 on all side windows and any on the rear window only.

I use precision cut everyday and love it.

rather than buying new windows you may be able to paint it with a glass primer and it not be noticeable from even a few inches away.

it's funny how after apologizing for being an azz you're still being one.

she must have found someone who was a little less negative perhaps
-
I'll second that. I first did a negative design like that in 1989.
LMAO...using transfer tape right
I didn't even know about transfer tape until I started doing vinyl about 7 years ago.

I wouldn't pay for it either. tint doesn't do that shiat with cars. I could see if the window was hotter than hell and you sprayed cold water on it but from nothing at all
-
I've done plenty with no problems at all.

I've had defrosters come off in spots here and there from film removal. the older the car the more likely it'll happen. a new car losing defrosters means it must be a kia.
it happened to me a month or so ago on an 80s corvette. I warned the owner prior to removing the film though. it lost atleast 75% of the defrosters from the removal.

yep...no matter what, you'll always have jackasses around.

reason I keep it legal.....
because nothing pisses me off more than some STRANGER that I've never met before IN MY LIFE comes walking in and asks me to break the law for them. fock you

whats the average amount of cars you can get out of a 100 ft roll of film.
that's like asking what kind of gas mileage the average car gets? how do you answer that?
what's an average car? 2 door or 4 door? what if an SUV is thrown into the mix? what about trucks? what if you lose a piece or 2? (wouldn't happen in my case ) is it a 36" roll or 40" or 60"?
if you have to ask then you're probably not going to get enough cars out of that roll done to pay for the roll
