I have a location in mind, Im waiting to ETS out of the US ARMY to move back home and open my shop. I will have a decent amount of money to put into my business. I have been using Solar Gard, and I'm charging 120 a car on average. I strip and tint a car for 160. I need to know if I should buy different types of tint, or just stick with what is working for me? I also need to know if I am undercharging. I feel like I can get 200$ a car, but I don't know if it will scare customers away with me barely opening the doors.
Thanks in advance
Man I was charging that price 30 years ago when the when the average cost of a car was 10K if you are just starting out and Mobil that is one thing but with shop expenses you will go out of business fast at those prices.

Between the two, I'd always go with the baby shampoo. Dawn is a bit strong with the grease cutter and can be too hard on the adhesive, but others say they have no problem with Dawn.
Yep I used dawn the first 10 years I tinted because that's what I learned with but have been using baby shampoo the last 20.

You guys know if they were just random cars or jobs that were done elsewhere?
Most of mine were tinted new from new car dealers some plain poor installs from the day they bought it and some the film failing at 2 years or less.

I used to get a couple R&Rs a month now I get about 2 calls a day for R&Rs I you not the sad part is most these cars are under 2 years old.

Renegotiate your pay ask for a flat price per vehicle then if they have a sale its on them the worst they can say is no.

Just not enough info. $150 a day? How many cars do you do. If you do one car ,that great, if you do 8, that sucks. 20% is on the lower end, but we have no idea how self sufficient you are.If they charge $500 per car then at 20% you can make a ton of money. To really get any kind of good feed back, it would need to come from someone in your area as it is different everywhere.
Yea it hard to say on a % basis if you 4 cars a day at $300 a pop thats not bad now if you doing 4 cars at $99 for 20% thats sux. need more info

I do not know why people by stuff they can't install Tint, alarms, clear bra I suppose they think they will save money because the get a good price but most the cost is labor anyway

The only way to make that look good is to replace the window.

We get asked about it every now a then, but a simple solution...let them know you only use the film you carry since you can guarantee the quality.
