Does anyone know how to remove the rear side pillars for a Tesla model 3 so the back glass can be exposed more for easier installation?

This was a 2002 f350. I know the black border was aftermarket like some sort of glossy paint was applied after the tint. I know it wasn’t the opaque marker nor puffy paint. Wish I took more better pics of it. I was just curious what was used because I thought it would work well on old school cause with metal framed windows. -
So It was paint that was used to create the black border. Is there a special paint marker used for this?

I was afraid of that.

What kind of vehicle is it? Only thing you may be able to try is bagging it. Not sure it'll work at this point though.
It’s a 98 accord coupe. Think the tint has been on since about that time too. 🤯 -

I’m trying to remove old tint off a bg and the first layer comes out fine but the second layer is flaking in a million pieces. Is there anyway to remove the tint without damaging the defrosters. I’ve been using a steamer with no luck. Any help would be appreciated

Does anyone know if a 40” roll will work on the windshield of a model s?

Do you get clean installs...i use the equate walmart brand...could i be shaking too much in the bottle where it loses its slip power??? Do you use green slime ?? Do you shake it when you mix it???
I use equate brand as well and find I have to use a little more than the j&j. I make fresh bottles of slip as I go. I notice if I premake my slip in the morning, by afternoon it wouldn’t be as slippery -
The push start buttons gets wrekt from water being spraying in the back window. so try to spray less water.
The side windows if its the same as the 2016 and 2017 models then you will have to take apart the door panels to apply felt on all 4 doors. This one is a bitch to apply felt on since the seals take a long time to remove and reinstall properly.
aside from that its easy to tint. It just comes with alot of issues and time consuming to do properly.
Do you know if the push start will work once everything dries out? I just ran into that problem today. -
After digging around I seen that ryker had suggested using mother mag and aluminum polish. Do I just keep rubbing at it with the polish till it’s gone?
-
I tinted a window twice today and I keep seeing these markings on the glass. Looks to me like some sort of aluminum residue from whoever removed the old tint. Is there a way to clean this off? Esp in the gasket where it’s so tight

Do these need felt in the sweeps?

I would not have removed the film or refunded it. You did as requested installing the second layer. If she wanted it removed she should pay for removal. Do not work for free.
If she or her children have "mental issues " re the not being able to breathe she should take them to a doctor.
If doctor says its "claustrophobia" .. She gets to pay for removal.
I know I prob shouldn’t have reimbursed her but she was one of those ladies who would keep nagging you until she was satisfied. And plus the fact her other installer put in her head that I was to blame made her adamant that it was the tint causing the lack of air.
Still learning a lot to this trade esp. the customer service part. I still have to bite my tongue at times dealing with assholes.- quality tintz and TNTLady

How Did you take glue off the layers u pulled off did you just pull your tint off or the 50 percent too???
I was able to pull back the layer I installed with a steamer making sure not to lift he first piece of film. There was only a couple spots with glue residue which I cleaned up with some rubbing alcohol. -
That chic crazy the other tinter is a prick as well for going along with it.
Tell me about it. I was real reluctant to reimburse her since there was nothing wrong with the tint but she kept nagging saying I was to blame for her kids suffocating. Ended up giving most her money back just to get her off my back. Now that i think about it i should’ve just reimbursed her and left the tint on. Let her original installer deal with her madness. -
So I had a customer come in with a lex ct200. Her car was already tinted with what looked like a 50%. She wanted to make the tints darker but she didnt want to pay extra for removing the old tint so I explained to her that I could put a darker tint on top of her current tint to hell her save money but that there could be issues down the line since it was 2 layers of tint. She decided to go with the 2 layer option. A week later she’s call me complaining her kids are having breathing issues and blames it on the second layer of tint. All I could do was laugh in my head and told her to bring her kids to the doctor cause I never heard of tint restricting air into the car. After another week she calls me telling me that she brought her car to the original guy that tinted her vehicle the first time and he had told her that I shouldn’t never put a second layer of film on in the first place and that the second layer could be the cause of the issue that her kids were experiencing. So after the bs, I ended up ripping off the tint I had put on reimbursed her money minus material costs and told her to invest the money into seeing a doctor cause there wasn’t something right about her kids.
In any case has anyone ever heard of experienced I’m not an asshole by nature but I can’t help but laugh every time I here her say her kids can’t breathe because of window tint. Guess people don’t have common sense to roll down a window or turn on the ac.

Thanks for the response. After looking at his bg it didn’t look like anything had hit the glass so I’m assuming it might be this nickel sulfide inclusion. Looks like I’ll be eating the cost since his insurance deductible is more than the glass
Any tips and tricks shrinking 3M crystalline
