Unfortunately, this trade (along with others) attract a lot of people looking for fast money.  IMO I would say half the tinting companies in business should not be in business.

Some lines from 3M are good, some not so much.

As you found out, finding a quality shop is more important than the brand name of film.  Unfortunately you came across a plotter shop which most likely has no actual skill.  Not saying it can't be done proper with a plotter, but a lot of times it is not.

For the amount of work being handcut, just not worth the price.  I rather just upgrade them to a full windshield which is why we do so many.

I personally hate sun strips, I actually try to talk people out of them.

The new C class generation is growing on me.  At first didn't like it, but getting more used to it.  We used to do more BMW's than any other luxury brand, but lately Mercedes is taking over.  This one is wrapped with Llumar CTX plus Sun Strip.

FX Premium has a green hue, CS is more of a black film.

 

If it needs a greenish hue (didn't read whole thread), then 3M FX Premium or Formula One Pinnacle.

 

I have F1 Pinnacle....worsens the green hues ten fold.

 

I didn't read the whole thread since in middle of something else, but sounded someone was trying to match green.  That is why I suggested those since they both have a green hue.  If you have a glass with a green hue and you are trying to reduce the look, a blacker film will be needed to help.  Something like 3M CS or Llumar CTX would be good.  Plus darker shades will help like 20/15/5...if you are doing lighter shades than there is no option besides getting rid of the car or changing the glass itself.
