PPF will be the biggest reason to get a plotter. When it comes to cutting tint it will be a hit or miss, but allows you to adjust to your liking so the pattern will be better for the next time. We will be doing ours next month for PPF and will probably use it for Sun Strips (so there is no curve), Windshields, and Rear Windows...probably will stick to hand cutting the doors since they are typically the problems.

Looks good on it.

Did 4 cars today and a flat glass job. Here is a comparison of Huper Optik Ceramic 30 on the Infiniti G37S and Llumar CTX Ceramic 30 on the Honda Accord. The Accord looks a little lighter because the G37S has the windshield and sunroof tinted.

I doubt he is still checking the thread out, but as people pointed out that perfection is in the eye of the beholder. Can people produce and hold their employees to a "perfect as humanly possible"...yes. Can people produce actual definition of perfection...no. As SlippedUp brought up film itself is not perfect 100% of the time. So how can you do a perfect install when the film has a flaw in it? The problem is people are saying "perfect" and meaning "perfect as humanly possible". As ACPclearbra said, when you have multiple installers it is damn near impossible to have even a "perfect as humanly possible" job every time. Simply stated Tango is the owner, not the installer. His job is to market his company and they have decided to say they do absolute perfection. That is fine since consumers know no better.

That's what we have been doing. So when business was slow and say we only did 2200. A month they still got 400 ever week. A slow month is no typical for us. I'm just trying to give them more and make it fair. If you don't mind me asking what do you offer for a base salary and what hours do you except them to work?
I can't disclose the exact amount, but much higher. However we have only 1 tinter and average 15-25 full cars per week...35 hour work week. I can say that one owner of a Tint World franchise said $500 weekly + 20% commission.

We pay a flat salary plus bonus if certain goals are reached...our flat salary is very high though. IMO $400 weekly plus 10% (over $4000) is extremely low. At the very least I would say give 10% on all installs. So say you did $4000 per week their payroll would be $1600.

If the cars sit in the yard some time before they are picked up, you need to put a sign in front of it that is was just tinted by you...get some attention.
