F150 rear slider. Idk what year but it was only my 12th car tinting back when I just started. I prob had to re-do it 6 times. This F150 is the reason why I wanted to go to Stans training. Now. I can do it in one try and I just use puffy paint on the gaps.

Yeah its cool not taking it as rude. Sorry if I seem that way.

Long time ago I use to think factory tinting was going to put me out of biz, on  the contrary it was a blessing. I charge a 100 spot for two door that takes 15 minutes, so thats 400 a hour instead 200 when working on a whole unit. I do quite a few cars  in parking lots, quick and easy long as weather permitting. Its really simple to pull out a small gen instead of running a 100' of ex cord.  Im a 100% mobile so its a must have thing.

little scuff with some sand paper,  mild to wild.  had one film that turbos and max hung up on, little 220 grit did the trick.  glaze forms overtime on the edge, scuff mine on a regular basis.  have not tried the pink,  get a good bow on the clear with my fushion on final pass.  ruff scuff on dozer helps keep rubber scuffs off BG,  -15 winters in Michigan, can't be limp wristing it.

I have had to redo a window 5 times in a row. A crease, some dirt, bad position, more dirt then success. This is why most quit this job thankfully for us[emoji4]

I redone a window 3 times once on a Lexus, kept getting this wicked finger no matter what I did and every time I almost get it out it crease. That turned into a cussing job real quick

First off, do not use Johnson & Johnson.  That stuff leaves a mess and clogs stuff up. Made the switch months ago to the generic baby shampoo at target.  It doent leave a slimmy mess in the bottle, plus its cheaper.

Yeah you don't need to use J&J but A Lot of people do. I use it and love it but it's personal preference for what everyone uses. Try them all to find what works for you. I use what I call "super soap" when installing which is a 6 count of J&J in a standard spray bottle. That's some slide right there. When I bottom load I soak the hell out the bottom portion of the glass to make sure i get a smooth slide.

Those bent plastic strips you have probly are not strong enough to pull the seal away to slide the film in nicely

Maybe i can get someone to take pics of how i manage with the metal ones
