  1. I’ve had windows with overspray or something similar on them before. This will cause the film to actually “float” too much and not allow it to lay down after you shrink and card it down. Typically you will start to over shrink the film and possibly start to burn it. If this is the case I will usually blade the outside of the window to avoid this.
  2. Recently did a set of fronts on a new GLA 250. Gaskets are the same as previous models. I removed the speaker cover in the corner and then popped the panel back. Easy install, no need to shrink if you’re bottom loading.
  3. I was using the Blue Max for years and recently switched to the Orange Crush. I’m a big fan of the Blue Max but like a lot of others said it tends to get nicked up too easily and therefore can start to scratch. I have not had this problem with the Orange Crush so far. I still occasionally use the Blue max on some rear windows so I can crank on the film a little more. Have also tried the Redline Extractor which was too stiff and started to get nicks the first week of using it. Overall Orange Crush for the win 👍
  4. I have a buddy who used Terraflex from FlexFilm and he said it came off with zero glue behind. He’s also somewhat experienced so I’m sure he went slow and pulled at the correct angle. I haven’t seen too many films come off cleanly without heat / steam but maybe Terraflex is different.
  5. I just did one today and no need to remove the spoiler. There’s plenty of room on the inside so I just cut it a little big and it worked out well. Hope this helps!
  6. I did the fronts on a new Outback today and it was pretty simple as you would expect. It seems they changed up the gaskets but not in a bad way. I removed the screw from behind the handle and was able to pull back the top of the panel and slide it out. The small front quarters have a lot of blackout at the bottom which I don’t remember on previous generations. But nonetheless it makes for an even easier install. Easy breezy overall.
  7. I recently did my second one of these and overall not too bad. Front doors are a little tight. I also trimmed out the quarters a little bit since the rubber seemed to actually go into the matrix dots. If you’re hand cutting the rear window may take you a minute to cut out but a very simple shrink and install. I hand cut and two staged this one but next time I will probably pull the front panels.
  8. Hey guys, I installed 2 fronts on a 2019 Tacoma today. I was able to bottom load by popping off the trim piece up by the mirror, removing the small plastic push clip below that, and also removing the philips screw behind the door pull. This gave me plenty of room to pull the top of the panel back. I know the entire panel is easy to remove but honestly no need to. Very simple window to hand cut and install, whether you bottom load or two stage. Hope this helps!
  9. Hello everyone, new member here and a big fan of the classic black. Been using it for about 5 years now and have had zero issues along with many happy customers. I actually used CB 20% on this XJ today. I forgot how tight these brake lights are but fortunately was able to get enough flex to leave everything installed. But anyway great to be on the forum. Thank you!
