post-13081-1105538441.jpgHi all.

Can you guys throw a little light on this one please.

All the cars I have worked on so far have had a substantial Matrix around the edge , thus giving that small margin for none surgical cuts to be passable.

This Saturday I have a Ford Fiesta to do and it seems that the glass goes straight to the rubber with no matrix at all.

Is there a fool proof way of making these cuts accurate, cos' I can imagine small light gaps all over the place.

Thanks in advance.

that is an old school problem.

What you are going to have to take into consideration is that the inside of the window will be smaller than the outside. SO even as you cut it next to teh rubber seal on the outside you will still have to trim the sides a little.

Just get into the seal a little with a sharp blade and trim a tiny bit out so you can hide the edge in the area you cut. Just put your blade into the seal on the inside of the back glass and trim out a small sliver at an angle. Be careful because you slip and mess that seal up...you will be buying them a new one. Alot of older cars are like this.

Should fit nice :krazy

Hi Alfa

Just cut film tight to glass gasket on out side and shrink it a bit ,and it goes straight in no messing or take it out only push the rubber gasket from inside out :bingo
