Tuckin the seals!!

Recommended Posts

Before I tuck some seals I use a strong 2" duct tape!!A strip about 8" long!!

I tape it to the edge (corner) of the the seal!!Then start tucking and tape the remainder to the panel!!When I'm done tinting just pull up on the tape to

flip that corner up then you can use whatever tool you prefer to slide along and

bring the rest up!!

the hook tool works great...cheap to get at home depot. they are in the wiring section (cant figure out what an electrician would use it for)

insert, twist, pull back and run along the bottom edge. done

I don't know thought I'd just throw it out there! My tape thing it worked good for me but I guess not to others..The simple ones like the neon and focus which I easily pop up usually..I actually had a hard time to get it to come out one day..I prefer to do almost all the cars with carpet sheilds it even is a back up for my gasket Wiz!!When the wiz can't do it the sheild always comes thru!!

How long would you leave it tucked down for before you bring it back up? Are you letting it naturally dry (that could take all day without sun on it) or are you totally drying it manuallly all along with a hair dryer?

well there is a way of doign when not taking off the door panels, you tuck it in , let sit and dry or take heat gun , or if you have a heat lamp a few minutes on each and "wam" tuck it back up, but you have to becareful, a noobie would mess everything up.
