Wet in an H pattern?

Being new to the trade completely, I always started out by just soaping the entire window, letting it haze then placing my film on the back glass and squeegied a + pattern to the glass then started to shrink the 4 corners. Should I wet an H pattern underneath the film and then start to shrink that way? would I shrink faster that way or ?????? Plz Explain

the H or line is to lock the film in place (anchor) where you dont want it to shrink

so the excess film is forced to the top and bottom (factory edge of film)

H is better than+ the vertical line, in that the center anchored, would make you shrink more on the outside corners,

where the radius of the glass is greater, instead of in the middle where the film will shrink more evenly
