Bad Sign

The shop owner had a 5' X 11' 1/4" tempered glass rolling sign fabricated for about $900,

a few years back. Instead of anchoring it by the road, he insists on pulling it in and out every day.

(so no-one puts a brick through it)

From the beginning it was a bad idea. When the wind gets up, the thing acts like a giant sail

and it pulls up one, or both anchors, and goes sailing across the parking lot.

The first victim was a Ferrari Mondial, got a caved in quarter panel....crunch

The second victim was a Caddi rear-end......slam

and now.....The bosses Bruick show car.......crash

and the glass is shattered.

heres the sign before

and the sign after

...and the hooptie

some people just don't listen to common sense

this could have all been avoided

by anchoring it in concrete :rollin

I got him an estimate to replace the glass ($350)

and now we push the stupid frame in and out every day :lol2

untill it gets fixed. ........but he won't anchor it down ever :)

he will need to get it fixed up for spring

to advertise for a new tint contractor

I am :rollin

Yep :lol2 I am self-employed now, I just pay out most of my revenue back to the company.

The new venture is all on me, and in a bigger market

I hope to retire in about 10 years and let the kids run the show

I will keep my friends here posted on the new shop, it will be very cool :rollin
