I always think it's funny how no one mentions to the guys first trying the glue that it voids the warranty. ( :whisper  wonder if you guys mention that to your customers?)

vinyl does not void the warranty, and you can add $35 to the price tag. and it looks just like paint, except there's no chance of spraying the headliner of some 4|\|4L retentive mustang owner.

sure the glue looks awesome............................for now...... :gasp

until the film manufacturers put out a glue, that they will back up when it fails, I'll leave the blue school glue to my 4 year old and his pre-k class.

I did receive a sample of a glue product from my film distributor about three years ago. They are selling the stuff, so I doubt it voids the warranty. It was not elmer's clear gel, but it was in exactly the same packaging as a brand of glue that I had on the shelf here, only with their own markings on the package. Of course they want you to buy theirs, at three times the cost.

Who sells vinyl....does CPfilms sells them?????? Never worked w/vinyl before..is it hard to apply?????

CPFilms does not sell vinyl... they do however endorse its use for the dot matrix issue. 1 or 2 mil high performance black vinyl from any sign supply store online.

and zolar, if you're having that many warranty claims, way up there where you are, maybe you should look into a different line of film. :gasp

I have 1 warranty claim from a film defect 3 years ago (wierd orange-peel texture)

and 1 that I just had for adhesive failure (blurry) last week

they even gave me the roll # ..........all I had back then was invoices

my rep takes care of me, partly because I don't have  all the

warranty problems, like some shops do

I have about 10 customers with failed film each year,

from the previous tint contractor

who used a different brand of film

South Ga. sun is hard on film

I have had success with my current auto line

but I am adding a high- end line to step up the price, and quality

and am trying out a couple different film companies

I want zero warranty problems..ever

but I will settle for less than one a year  :hmmm

Is the blurry adhesive claims on a sputtered auto film product?

Sorry... independent distributors are just that... they are bound by contract to sell film, but not accessories...

That goo in a clear tube with a blue top and no markings on it to identify what is contained within, should be a pretty good clue that it's someone other than a film maker behind it. Film maker did test it, though, and found it to be a little glue and a lot of what can be identified as....

dish detergent as the main ingredient. :gasp:whisper

It goes on like film, except it's softer in nature so you may not want to press the squeegee as hard during the install.

Very light soap and water mix or for best results, use alcohol and water.
