I tried to 1 pc a back glass on a honda civic, cussed it everything I could think of, ended up doing it in strips a lot easier. OK I am new what is the best way to squeegee NORTH TO SOUTH OR EAST TO WEST

The key to any curved back glass is to have it shrunk properly-there are too many variables to know what you are doing wrong.Simply telling you which direction to squeegee probably not gonna help!Once shrunk-it seems that I do almost all back glass the same-which is the same direction that it is shrunk! :thumb

once shrunk I will stick it east and west....then north to south...just like I shrunk it...then I will do a east to west from top to bottom and then do edges with a paper towel.....

one key is to decide where the best place to divide the tint when shrinking 1/2 way on the glass 1/3 ....(meaning east to west)..sometimes I find it better to not divide it in the middle...like mazda 6...I shrink more material at the bottom as the top has more compond curve

the other thing is practice....waste some film.....and figure it out

Glad you found that out.

Tinting is like a lightbulb....someone flicked the switch up top and all of a sudden life got a lot easier.

Why do this when the message is saying it hurts?

One-piecing today amounts to ppl pleasing (or following the herd). :lol6

Customer is in no position to determine what is professional and in the best interest of film (longevity) until they've worn the shoes.

That is the most plesent way to tell a customer off and still possibily keep them a s a customer. :dunno

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
