maybe that is your problem...try not using adhesive remover...that stuff will soak into the rubber gasket..and when it heats up will come to the surface...and that cant be good for the adhesive on the felt tape..  ...this is just a wild guess

I've had the same problem on a few hondas, but the problem was that I put the felt too high up on the seal and the window was causing it to roll the edge back, making the adhesive come off and leave streaks on the window.

I've found that if you split the moleskin for a "Bi Plane" rubber you have better results. 1/2 inch on each correctly applied leads to no worries.

I am also fed up with CR Lawrence crap. Who else makes this stuff? Autospamskin is a dead link.

I've preped all different ways and still have issues.
