In your opinions, does metallic film tint affect the reception of satellite radio if the antenna is located outside the vehicle.

I am not sure if the old tint is effecting the reception since it cuts out in certain areas of town, should I change my tint to a charcoal type of tint?

Thanks for the input.

Man. First we get, "does tint effect the cops radar?" and now this!

The reason it messes with reception when it's applied to glass with the antenna on it is because the tint is slightly conductive.

If you put tint on the outside mounted antenna it would mess with reception, but short of that, it won't.
