I got what ur saying bout how cops arent stupid. I agree but im just sayin if they see the sticker they will prolly be less likely to pull u over. anyways, round here cops arent strict. yesterday, I was in town and saw a black monte carlo with limo all around including d/p windows and not sure what shade on the windshield but it had to be at least 20%. I couldn't see in it in broad day light! anyways, the car drove right by a cop car and.....nothing!

dang that sux. where do u live? I mean seriously 42%...thats ridiculous. you can see thru that clearly so why do the cops care bout that? gay dude...im sorry!

I'm personally not into "quilt" or "patchwork" tint jobs myself.

I try to talk people into picking ONE vlt.

Because of Louisiana state laws I usually end up laying 20% on the rear window, 35% on the quarters or rear rolldowns, and 50% on the D&P! Thats why I have said in the past that It would be a PITA if I had a plotter that I would have to load 3 VLT's for each car!

Luckily, I live in a state that dictates 50% net all around. =)

Ultimately, it's their car, their choice if they want a quilt.

If I lived in a state that said 35% up front and 5% out back, I'd rock 35% all around on my rides because it looks better TO ME. Personal choice.

Different strokes for different folks.

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
