Illinois Law

I will be driving from Texas to Chicago to see family in a few months.

Illinois states no film on the front windows.

I think I will be OK for the trip.

ANyone know of out of state cars having to comply with Illinois law ?

No problem to strip the 2 fronts and reinstall when I get back, but would just as soon not waste the film.

The act/code says specifically that they don't have any cause of action on vehicles that are out of jurisdiction...something like that. Anyway they do not have any call on cars from other states for sure......you can find the exact law online if you want but I can tell you what I know and that is it....

Appreciate the info, thanks !

In chicago the cops there won't ticket you. If you actually going to be in a suburb they will nail your ass. They tend to key the tint so its all f'D up and you have to re-do it anyways.
