also..with the vk40 SHGC being at .44 and the HO SHGC being at .51..you are getting better performance with the VK40%..which in turn may save your customer more money faster. :rollin

also..another thing to think about..the PR40 have a ex reflection of 14 on DP clear windows...and to compare to VK40 on my performance chart have as VK 40 has a VLR of 16.5 on DP clear..but the better performance far out ways the slightly higher reflectivity issue. :rollin

Yes, great films and you do get what you pay for. As long as you are in that arena then take a look at Huper Optik Drei. .38 SHGC on IG clear with 12% reflectance. Even better performance and less reflective than VK 40 at the same price. :dunno

Problem is that tintguy is looking for 7% reflectivity and that is why Ceramic 40 is closest to what he is looking for... cheaper than VK-40 or Drei too. :rollin

but wouldnt that be a darker film then he is looking for( drei being a 35%) ?..so I guess it would have a better SHGC being a darker film :bs

Check the IG VLR 10.2% is single pane... they are still close.

ive been lookin into the v-kool, what an impressive product. tallked with my regional guy at vkool expensive stuff. then had madico rep stop by, they sell it.

been lookin into cermaic products to (Huper), now madico has a cermic line with a buy in.

I reallly need to re-educate myself about the residential/commercial stuff. I almost feel that im overwhelmed with different products/ manufactures

as far as the huper-optic goes, is there a buy in or territory.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
