I told You He was five....He spotted a Heat gun that someone left at His electronics store :spit And He was itching to get His '72 pacer tinted.

So He rolled down to the nearest Home Improvement store, picked up some Gila film, :gasp Called Tommy at Performance Films Distribution and ordered every squeegee and hard card known to Man, plus 8 Bulldozer's for good measure. Then He loaded up His Girlfriend, Her best friend, and 14 Reese's bars... :gasp

and off He went to own His automotive shop to begin His career as a Tinter.

Good to see the official biography has finally been released !

For those of you old enough to remember Bullwinkle (the Moose) and Rocky the Flying Squirrel, there was a segmant called "Mr Know-it-ALL" where Bullwinkle played a smart Professor type individual.

In truth, that was really Scotty at an early age !

We may not always agree with Scotty's tinting tips and techniques and sometimes he does come across as a know-it-all post hizzo but man, I gotta say I like the dude. At the very least he keeps the threads going an we get a good laugh every now and then. There have been a few on her over the years that have gotten under my skin but for some reason Scotty doesn't strike the same nerve. Also you have to give him credit for being a good sport about it all. He is young at 20 but I don't think I would have taken the criticism quite so well at his age. :twocents

      70% Expel Plus on windshield ripple fix

      Are you certain it's the film and not the actual windshield? You will not be able to "fix" a ripple in film. If you do remove it inspect the windshield carefully though. Could well be the glass has issues.

      help arquitectural in Puerto Rico heat

      Hi, new to the forum but a previous lurker. Was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on tints for a business in Puerto Rico who's windows face north (humidity 80% temp 70-100). Main concern is heat reduction though i would like for it to not be super dark since it is a work area. Have not contacted installers yet since I wanted to have some knowledge about products and specs beforehand to make sure im getting what i need. Thank you! From what i've gathered i should look out for: dual reflective film and low absorptive/high solar reflection products used this topic among others for research: "should be a go-to such as: 3M's Night Vision15 or NV25, Vista Film's Dual Reflective18 or DR 28, LLumar's DR15 or DR25 (which closely matches 3M NV), or Madico's Optivision in and around the same number assignment. The numbers assigned to films represent the visible light transmission of the product." "The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat."

      It looks like the end of the roll was used which has adhesive marks from being attached to the plastic core. You can't use the very end of the film roll.
