Any tips on installing 4 mil security film on a vehicle?

Never installed 4 mil security film on a car B4 . Customer wants 4 mil on top the ATR CH Llumar job I've already done for him. I'm assuming you do the doors only as I imagine this stuff doesn't shrink to well for a back glass ? Any tools I should be using ? carbon knife ? special squeegee / etc ? thanks for any tips from a security film newbie for cars

P.S. It's going on a 2010 Mazda 3 sport.

We do a lot of 4mil security on autos. It shrinks. Blue max and stainless blades are fine. Never layered it though, we buy tinted security for these jobs.

I do know they are mostly aimed at preventing smash and grabs. Obviously given enough time they'll find a way in either way.

I head of a great trick using magnets to hold the film in place while trimming.

I think 4 mil should be installed first and than the tint .

Security film first.. adhesion to the glass.... let set....

Then a tint over the security film.

The glue is designed to bond with the glass.. NOT the tint.
