In some states there is a percentage that of course makes a window illegal....but with the new vehicle wraps, you can't see in the windows at all? Why is this not illegal?

generally there are different rules that are applied to the rear windows of a vehicle behind the driver when it comes to stickers/advertising. On most vehicles it could be assumed that entirely covering the window with a wrap is no different than a work fan/hhr/connect that doesn't have any windows on the side. I guess they could assume that if you couldn't see out out all, then you wouldn't pose a threat to them.

In California you are only allowed to install a sticker on the lower or upper portion of the windshield and not to exceed 7 or 8 inches not exactly sure. I have never heard of this being used to ticket wraps but I'm sure it's possible.

I've seen many a wrap that uses solid vinyl over the whole/partial side windows on big vans, HHRs, etc. I personally like the look better, since theres not that noticeable color shadowing effect of the perf vinyl next to the regular vinyl.
