Extra Insulation

Recommended Posts

Now I know all of the window tint adds about 1R-2R insulation to the glass... I have a customer who has a nice indoor pool room and says it's very expensive to heat it in the winter... I have came across few window films that are desinged to keep the heat in better in the winter... Can you give me a suggestion what film that is and where I can find it.

Thank you

The best, if you have access to Vista is Enerlogic.

Other Low E films available are SolarGard Silver 50 Low-E and Silver 25 Low-E

I personally like the Silver 50 the most since it has reflectivity in a far more friendly range for a residential client. (mid 20's for int/ext reflectivity)

One thing you should consider is the High Humidity and chemicals that the film you select will be exposed to, life time warranty..... :lol

Also this customer has asked very interesting questions after I told her that the films reject 99% UV....

She asked... UV-A or UV-B....

Never I have heard that within 15 years of my experience... have you??? does this only apply to tanning beds?? may be??

great question! I always thought film rejected both UV-A and UV-B. However, I would be interested to hear what the experts say!

Film blocks UVA and B, it does not bock the other uv's that are required for plant growth..
