Have a petition and have numerous people write letters to your state's representative and senators. Then it might have a bill started.

Talk to your state representative and have a house bill written up.

It then should go to a safety committee (usually made up of about 7 rep.). It's there, where you will probably meet any opposition to your bill.

If it passes the safety committee, it will have 3 readings (vote) at the house of representatives. If you get lucky enough to get it past the house of representatives, it will then go to your state senate and go through the same. Then back to the house for 3 more readings. If it get passed that, then it's to the governors office for the signing into law.

It's good to get as much exposure as possible early on. Just before you go to the safety committee, have as many people as possible call each representive's office Thats on the committee saying that they support house bill no.# ****

This is the way OT and I did it.

Lots of work, and traveling to our state capital.

Also, it's huge if you can get the state police to believe in what you are doing!

Hope this helps

Also ther may be some postings on this from 2008/2009
