Just wanted to see how everyone did the back window on these cars. I tried getting my pattern from the inside, not fun. The last couple times from the outside but keep getting a slight gap around the edge and also scared of cutting into the top, 09 mustang convertible

i take a liner from one of the other b/g I have done and cut it on the outside to the exact size of the glass....take it to the inside and test fit, then take the liner to the tint on my peel board and cut it out about an eighth inch bigger all the way around. (or whatever amount bigger that I see I have after my test fit.

I lay the film on the outside, lightly heat it (careful not to hit the top). These cars don't require much shrinkage. Then I use a fine tip sharpie and draw along the border. Compensate for the sides, defroster contacts. In otherwords, add a bit. Lay it on my glass wall and final cut. Pretty much standard proceedure for all convertibles.

There you go.
