sky lights?

Have a custy wanting to tint 4 skylights, was curious what the prefered shading would be on double pane skylights? I assume llumar dr25 would be good choice he wants it dark, but not sure. Thanks

Is the glass laminated or tempered? If it is laminated glass then is it annealed, HS, or Temp? Clear or Grey glass? You will need answers to these questions.

If it is just plain old tempered glass you should be fine but double check your MFG's F2G charts just to be safe DR 25 has some restrictions... BTW if he wants it dark then I would go at least 20% or lower because 25% vlt on a skylight is not dark.

i like using a silver 20....lots of glare protection....and not alot of heat absorbtion

Try looking at Solar Gards tru-view 05 , it is warrantied for up to 40 sq.ft. Its a nice looking film , great heat rej. (no I'm not plugging them ) just offering some assistance. I generally use any quality film that meets my clients goal.

Solid advice here, if it isn't tempered it would be worth entertaining exterior options.

do know what the heat absorbtion is....
