I've got a question

Recommended Posts

Just bought a new truck and was wondering if ppf would

keep headlights and tail lights from hazin' over like my

older truck did? Have no clue about ppf far as longevity

and effectiveness. Tint I got ,but no idea on this.

If possible, we have installed clear uv film first, then applied ppf. To be honest, im not sure how much longer the headlight will last from yellowing, and we are up front about this, but we have done this to our 2007 ford and the headlights are still crystal clear. Its been on there since may of 07.

In my experience, yes.

I polished the very hazy, yellow headlights on my Lexus SC300, & then did nothing else but apply PPF to them... 5 years later when I sold the car, they were still crystal clear.

I cleaned one headlight then slapped on some ppf on my car an left the other alone and yellow to show people how well it works. One Looks like hell and the other like new with just ppf. :console

Absolutely. When I bought my truck 4 years ago, the only available pre-cut light kit didn't give full light coverage, just the leading edge. Anyhow, the entire light looks perfect, except for the exposed inch and a half on the side that has oxidized/yellowed. I've now kept it that way just to be able to demo the value of the film to installers.
