First flat glass job question

I tint for a dealer and they recently renovated the sale's offices. They're wanting me to black out 3 windows in the manager's office. The glass is separated by metal beams and has a rubber edge around the perimeter. My question is, do you normally trim the rubber back and make the pattern big like you would on some car, quarter glasses? Seems like a pretty straight forward job, but any other tips are appreciated.

Pull the gaskets and put them back in when you are done

That's good for blackout if possible.

And don't " make a pattern".

Watch a few videos before you try in front of an audience.

  UltraVision is the only decent quality with a lifetime warranty. However, $$$$ for a basic film that does not block heat on most of the options. If their dealer pricing was better, we would carry them.

  Did you install on the inside or outside? We always install the film on the outside (specially if it's double glass with air or gass between) If you install on inside it will be to much heat and crack is possible. good luck

  Are you certain it's the film and not the actual windshield? You will not be able to "fix" a ripple in film. If you do remove it inspect the windshield carefully though. Could well be the glass has issues.

  70% Expel Plus on windshield ripple fix
  
  Any way to fix a very annoying/dangerous rippling effect on the front windshield without redoing the entire thing? Charms seem to “jump” every so slightly making the driver a little dizzy during driving.
