Theft by customer????

Recommended Posts

So last Saturday I tint an 07 Camry for a guy and he comes to pick it up and he argues for an hour about a speck and the moisture under film with me so I finally just redo the back window. He then leaves happy and all of a sudden today I find out he stopped payment on check with no word from him so basically he has an unpaid for tint job.

What should I do next?

Forgot to mention he's trying to tell me I made a squiggly scratch to a window when he watched the whole job, then eye fu&ks the hell out of it, he clearly would've seen this. I said to bring it down for me to see, I'm just going to rip the tint right off and not give him his keys until he pays for the waste of film. This guy was insane arguing with me over the water spots you see right after a car is done. Guy is unreal.

Its unfortunate our industry is soo picky.

Never be nervous with these types! Always be calm, confident and tell them that everything will look fine in less than a month.

Sometimes that little spec they eye focked will dissipate to something so small they will forget about it soon enough.

I sometimes joke with them that "It's gonna look like %&$# for a couple days" then everything will be fine :thumb

Blow up the check 2 or 3x and have it on display with the NSF stamped on it.

Underneath the check have some language indicating "this is why we do not accept checks"

Might be folks who know him see this and it shames him into making it good......
