Tint Slime is a go!

Recommended Posts

I used to love TintSlime,,, but unfortunately gonna have to let it go.

:barf Can't stand the smell after not using a sprayer for a day or so.

Now I know some are going to say they don't have this problem, but it's not my sprayers(same stuff you use) it's Not my water(it's filtered ) but after leaving it sitting, it smells rancid. Like sewer water.

:sorry Hate to see you go. :peace

Hey Bham, sorry to hear of your hygiene issues  :jealous:poke

I'm not convinced its Slime.

I've had sprayers sit for months thanks to not getting out installing because I'm office staff now.

Never  had odd smell issues . :dunno

Anyone doing frakking in your area???

Maybe something growing in the recesses of your sprayer :dunno

Check out this story about mould in childrens sippy cups.

Fox. I respect you, and will continue to try to figure this out with you.

The only thing I can think of, that might be different, is that I use a plastic container for my auto-sprayer. But the negation to that is that I also use Spraymaster spray bottles and they do the same thing.

Now, my water. It is filtered with a PUR add-on faucet filter. Not a bigger unit connected to the water line. But I really don't think it is that.

So unless the water in my area has some major issues, I don't know WTF to do. :krazy

The other reason I suspect something possibly mould that is growing in  your water or sprayer is that I have decanted Slime into smaller bottles that I keep in my tool bag. No smells or growths in there either.

You say you are using a filter. Do you change it out at the recommended intervals?

Do a schience experiment with 2 new never used bottles. Set up one with straight water and another with slime and set them out for a few days in your normal manner. See what happens.

If the filter alert starts flashing yellow or red then I replace the filter immediately.

As far as the plain water. I keep a straight water bottle on hand at all times. It doesn't ever start to smell. :dunno

I thinks a I will get some glass, along with some new spray bottles.

I do have a witness to the smell thing. Jh actually smelled it also. It is pretty bad. :barf

That smell is probly from the hot weather and mold

Just like when you leave the clothes in the washer to long after its done and then dry them(they stink) and when its not hot and muggy you have a lot more time before that happens
