New style film handler

Recommended Posts

I have had to a couple times and it sucks.

Worst was some of that Mactac frost at a Dollar store. I had to reverse roll it on because they wouldn't move out the shelving far enough for me 2 get it peeled in such a tight space.

In a situation such as that, you could use a clean window next to it or near by as a peel board, put the film on it liner side out, peel the liner and wet the film with a little extra soap in your water and roll it up adhesive side in and wet the window that you needed to revers roll the film for and put it on and unroll it .... :thumb

I reverse rolled a small strip to start it. Tacked it in place so it wouldn't move. Soaked the rest of the window and unrolled the rest of the film. It worked, but was a PITA.

So it must not have been to hard to get at then.

what's up guys? kind of a month old thread but I haven't been here in two years so all threads are new to me, lol.

I drilled a hole at each end on the bottom of one of my film handlers and set it up in the shop with a ladder on each end instead of the one in the middle as is traditionally used. it's not a pain to set up that way and it also solved several accuracy issues I'd had in the past with cutting film.

What accuracy issues did using two ladders solve ......... ?
