rf signal problem 04 c230 hatchback

Hello in need of assitance for 04 c230 hatchback. I tinted the complete car and now keyless entry and horn does'nt work. Has anyone heard of this kind of problem? PLEASE HELP AND THANK YOU.

try unpluging the battery for a couple of minutes some times that resets the computer

check the fuses first off

The dealership removed the tint from the bk glass. I did a little research and found the rf controller which is attached to the top of the bk glass

so after taking responsiability for the damage I went ahead and retinted the bk glass for freeee. when I was done I took the heatgun on low and dried out the rf controller and boy was I jumping up and down cuz it started working again! Thanks for the suggestions very much.

The easy way to prevent this is to tint the hatch while its closed, sitting in the cargo area. That way the water drains down away from anything that could be damaged.
