Is Suntek CXP automotive same film as UVDLS or other FG film?

Here it is, I was wrong on my initial comment.

Today ULVDS 70 does technically have a TSER of 45% SHGC of .55 based on NFRC testing for 1/8" clear glass which is 5% above its specification sheets that use AIMCAL testing methods.

They aren't the only ones though, most films see a slight increase with NFRC testing. A method that I prefer and wish auto films were subject to this same type of third party testing.

He didn't take the NFRC #'s, he used the published 3mm clear SP 'center of glass' SHGC and VLR to show that what was printed on the spec sheet was totally different (by a large percentage) than what was published as a precursor for running the NFRC certification. And :lol he caught one! It's a handy little tool to use. :eyebrows

Howard here is some info on the acetone test.

also it looks like I miss-spoke regarding using NFRC numbers for inferring that those numbers can/should be used to make judgments about use of rated films on AUTOMOTIVE use.

He's right you can't use NFRC for auto. NFRC results include the window frame were applicable and do not include the convection that occurs when a vehicle is in motion. The positive would be that films have been checked for accuracy against manufacture marking materials which in some cases have been innacurate to say the least.
