It is fun when a person from the sort facility walls in and states it must be nice to have

a/c and heat, as it gets hot in the building!

When asked how long they have been with the company, usually 2-5 yrs.

Their mouth drops open when i mention i was in there 26 yrs, and bid my way into

the current dept.

Unusually hot here in Portland in the mid 90s...... I have been spoiled by the normal NW weather for so many years that 80 is hot for me. We crank up the 2 air units of the roof when it hits 78 degrees. Don't know how big they are but the shop used to be a church so they keep us cool ..... At a cost!

117F+ the next three days here in Vegas. Damn near burned my hands on the steering wheel of my truck today.

It's sad that all those firefighters lost their lives battling that blaze out there.
