The door glass still has the stupid dots on the back edge unfortunately.   :bat 

 

3rd brake light is up top and removes like past gens.

 

Easier to me since there are no dots up top.  Just tight as hell in the back and the back seat headrests are built into the seats.  Luckily this models seats folded down.

x2 to everything here. I removed the sweeps because of the tightness in the front bottom corner, panels pull back like usual.

There ARE some wide dots at the bottom of the back glass which didn't cause much issue other than not looking as good as it could. Lots of room around the window but too bad the headrests don't come out. Still not too terrible of a car to do. Llumar ATC20 on this one.

And no "late" comments!!!! Here's my disclaimer:

My post is just another point of view for others who will eventually search this thread.

The "4 series" threw me off when the people called the other day. (Especially when the dude said it was an M4) but today in rolled an old junky 435i :lol

But when they called the first thing I did was check Tintdude to see if there were any surprises!

Does the rear quarter glass on this one need to be shrunk? I have to do just the two quarters on one of these today for a local body shop. They had to replace both as the car had massive hail damage on one with only 400 miles! Sounds like an easy one but thought I'd ask. Thanks!

      Residential Film without blue hue?

      Take a look at 3M's Nightvision or LLumar's Dual Reflective series, they both have a warm tone to them.

      Steer clear of Black Armour, Suntek, ASWF. The others are good choices if you are in Australia. Check out the reviews of the installer too. It’s not just the materials that have to be proper. Never go for the cheapest!!!

      Residential Film without blue hue?

      Hey guys I am in the process of having window film installed in my home but have a question about which brand I should go with. Hoping yall can help me out. I have a room that faces a busy street and as a result my blinds pretty much always stay closed. I love having natural daylight but not so much people being able to see what i'm doing in my room/all my expensive equipment. I used to work in the window film industry as a helper/installer/salesman when I was in highschool and we did a lot residential/commercial work. The specific brand of film we used always left a certain blue and cool appearance. Is there any brand of residential film that does not have this effect? I mainly just cannot stand having blue light amplified and am looking for a film that has a neutral shade to it or even a warm/yellow hue. I have single pane windows and I do not necessarily care about heat rejection but if I have to pay more for a ceramic film rather than a dual reflective or a standard film I am willing to if that helps solve the issue. Again, any help is really appreciated with this there are so many new window film brands out there and it really is cool to see how far the industry has come.

      Automotive Tint Comparison

      LLumar, 3M and Solargard have in the industry as far back as the genesis of window film mid-1960's). Solargard is the younger of the three and all others came to play in the last 20 or so years. I've had all three on my vehicles over the years and my current is 3M Crystalline on my Jeep since 2015. It still has stable color, scratch coat is holding strong and impeccable adhesive clarity. Never been garaged. My choice toady would be 3M or LLumar.

      Hook up with Glassy Business and get all the ins and outs of pro vs DIY with window film. That company goes back way before my retirement in 2015. I want to believe they are/were a Vista Film dealer and I cannot remember the owner's name. Peace out.

      Once more thank you, you are the best I been looking at the specs for the products you mention and info into tinting a window. I recently did wrap my wife's car and it turn out really nice, for what I have been seeing tinting a window is similar and I am tempted to do it myself. With that said I can't find any place to buy the products you mention, I found quite a few films in Amazon but they seem sketchy. There is other web sites selling films but the ones you mention I can’t locate, anyhow is there any place where I can buy this products?
