LOL, back in the 80's, we gave it to the salesman who sold the most radar detectors. They didn't keep the car, they sold it for cash. Not a bad bonus for selling boxes.

I remember back in the 90s judging a stereo contest for sound quality. Dude pulls in my lane in one. Stereo system was worth about $10k. I looked at the guy after we walked through the install portion and said "seriously, just one of the amps is worth more than the whole car.' It was ridiculous!

98 Volvo S70 (errand vehicle...and I only keep it for tax purposes and bc its worthless)159k miles (speedo quit 3 years ago...) purchased cash in May 2008, 97 F150 186k purchased cash in April 2010, and 07 Escape 142k Financed new in May 07. Don't owe a dime on any and have no plans on replacing any vehicle any time soon.

2013 Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo Ute. ZF 6sp Auto.

Inline 4.0 six cyl Turbo. Dynoed 319hp at the wheels

Luxury Pack. Leather, Sat Nav, Premium sound, 19's, EGR remote locking hard tonneau cover.

100% stock standard from Ford.

Took it to the 1/4 and it pulled a 13.36 @ 105mph. Including me and gas comes to 4265 pounds.

The tyres let it down for traction when stalled to 2grand.

With wider rubber or semi slicks I reckon I can hit a flat 13 high 12.

With only a tune mid 12's are achievable.

With upgraded injectors 4" dump pipe and cat, better intercooler and tune to match, will hit 11's easy

Weekend car which just needs paint is a 1973 Ford Falcon Hardtop. Owned since 2001.When they were cheap.

This model car was going to be the Phase 1111 production car purpose built to blow GM and Chrysler off the road.

Until the government got involved and made a stop to all the supercars the big three were intending to produce.

351 Cleveland. 4sp Toplaoder

4V heads, solid tappet cam, Holley strip dominator manifold, flat top full floating forgies. HPC coated headers 1 3/4 primaries going into 4 into1 4" collectors.

Twin 3" out the back with straight through mufflers.

Engine machined by the pros but Fully built and put together by yours truly.

Helps when your older bro is a maintenance fitter and dad a toolmaker milling machine specialist.

9" with 3.5.1 lsd. Weld Rod Light 15 x 7 front 15 x 10 rears with BFG 295 / 50 / 15 and still 1 inch of room on the diff side and guard side UN LIPPED. Factory stock.

Dynoed at 375hp at the wheels in street trim.

Best 1/4 was a 13.2 at 95mph. Gearbox and wheel spin issues. I cant bare to put in an auto.

From re wiring to bending up custom brake lines to welding in a new radiator support. I do it all. Ive painted a few cars now and I'm gonna paint this one day.

Fastest Ive driven it is lets put it this way.

When it had 2.75 ratio in the ass end 1st in the manual used to hit 65mph. Top gear at 7 grand was way way off the clock and when the air got underneath it and jacked it up like a 4x4 it just coasted and you couldn't feel the road. The windshield wippers were flapping like crazy. It was as if there were no rubbers or insulation in the car and those broken white lines in the middle of the road became one.

My best buddy was with me when I did it. The things you do when your single and think your superman.

It now sits in the garage till I find cash to finish it off.

Those are brand new Chinese made front fenders I put on a little while ago.
