Never seen a course for Deco films?

Stan?

If you're talking about how to be creative with deco film then the wait will an eternity. It's not like Michelangelo could come down off the scaffolding and teach any and everyone how his innate skill-set allows him to paint the Sistine Chapel ceiling.

unless precut patterns are involved, the installation method should be the same as architectural tinting.

:yeah That said, deco installs like any PS adhesive PET or vinyl product.

Another with questionable findings:

Brett Buehler, owner of Seattle-based Midnight Window Tint, says IBIS’s estimate of his city ($11.80 per square foot) sounds bloated.

“That seems really high to me. We hit those numbers occasionally, but it’s not a common occurrence,” he says. “On average, we’re running about $6 to $8 per square foot.”

Buehler also says his range tends to be in the $5 to $10 range per square foot, not the $5 to $20 range IBIS reports.

Another with questionable findings:

http://www.windowfilmmag.com/2016/07/annual-architectural-tinting-prices-report-published

Findings: Price increase in tinting services since 2013: 2.5 percent
Findings: Price forecast for 2019: Up 2.1 percent

I am not convinced that the overall market tinting price went up since 2013

Findings: Largest vendor in the U.S.: Window Film Depot (less than 5 percent market share)

Disagree. The largest vendor within US domestic market should be Nexfil USA and many reboxers in US stopped importing and procured directly from Nexfil USA in Cali.

fat is overwhelmed by the optimistism about our industry.

We are in mid-2016 now.

US$450m in 2014 to US$863m to 2018 is 90% growth.

Did that report motivate Eastman to pay US$438m for Commonwealth Laminating?

Even if window film were free for dealers, the savings to a dealer wouldn't be enough to make it suddenly desirable to everyone in the public because most of the cost is labor and other expenses.

That is as it should be, too. However, it's the value of our labor that's undervalued by both the public and many in the industry.

:clap

Query. :?

If we were valued as a true skilled trade, and not just an accessory,,,,, say like welders (or other of what they consider skilled trades) could we get a union type situation and get some cost control and price control going in our favor??

We are definitely undervalued as skilled technicians. Everyone just thinks we are an add on like a set of step bars. :facepalm2
