That is why I design my own patterns, its an investment at the beginning but ultimately it leaves me in full control only having to worry about the film I use and not having to tie myself to anything and I know the pattern will be there when I need it.

How do you make your own patterns?

 

I use application paper to transfer the body lines on to and then put the application paper on to a large digitizer, input the shape, make any modifications then test fit and adjust as required.

Our original patterns were based of a database for us to start with. Had to start somewhere. Some of the patterns were good and some not so good. We are finally getting feedback from customers now that we have more users. PM the year, make, model, and submodel and we'll make the adjustments. The Newer cars on the other hand have been pretty spot on. But as I always say, we aren't perfect but strive to make the best product and patterns we can. Send me the info and we'll get it taken care of.

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..
