My auto is Global HP and my flat glass is mostly JWF.  I use a couple others if I need 72".

 

Only problem I have had with pre-cut was a poor packing job one time and a very bad UPS transport of a box another time.  The box got crushed in the middle. 

 

This last pre-cut order was just over 1800 ft2 with 154 pieces of film and it was marked to be "packed very well" or something to that effect.  It came in very solid.  39" x 48" x 124 and 18" x 60" x 30..... that was a bunch of film.  Skylights that were about 21 feet to the peek.... did the job in 3 days with my assistant pushing the lift around, getting film ready, and trash duty.

Their precut system is awesome. I had a few pieces that were kinked in the middle, a few that were the wrong size and actually had one that was marked solar bronze 20 but was actually dn35. Honest mistakes but was aggravating at the time because I couldn't finish the jobs. I've been using there renegade and insulatair but I'm thinking about changing up the automotive line up

You know what? I have never paid attention what the return label said. I had no idea Johnson had a distributer in Tenn.

I have been using Johnson for 12 years now and just assumed it came from California. Hahahaha, i guess im clueless.....

Memphis distributor has not been open a lot of years.  They did it to allow for quicker distribution.  They quit offering the  "2nd day air for ground rate" shipping that they were doing when it opened or just before...

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
