What's the reason for him closing down?

He wouldn't say, but I suspect cash flow. Probably didn't keep cars rolling through like he should because it didn't have that welcoming storefront shop feel. Had more of the "Walk past the Employees Only sign and look under a few cars til you find him" thing going. If a walk-in stopped by and didn't know to go find him they'd be at the counter awhile. So....hand to mouth likely caught up to him.
