Ceramics are perhaps the most misunderstood of all.

The basic building block of a non-ceramic film is:

BoPet Film (Biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate).

There are a lot of people that think the ceramics are made out of that "coffee cup and dinner plate stuff" as opposed to "plastic".  Ceramics get their name from the materials that are either coated or deposited onto them.  They are polyester films just like all the other films.

VQ is spot on.  They are considered more durable because the ceramic components are extremely stable, resistant to oxidation and will not suffer the longitudinal performance degradation that can be found in some other films.   They are not harder, or more difficult to tear.  They do not do a better job of holding broken glass better.  Did someone actually post that online?  Talk about misinformation!

Sounds great although it would have to be Friday if that works for you. Wife is no longer serving there but that won't keep me from eating their food.

Hi Ocalastinter !

Weather is looking pretty good for Friday!  How about that brisket sandwich?
