Aegis Films, share your experiences

Hello,

 

First post here.

I am having my car tinted within the next week (20% all around) and have a few questions regarding Aegis films.

For those of you who have used Aegis films, would you prefer the Raven Select (multi-layered dyed film) or the High Performance Charcoal Series (metal/deep dyed charcoal hybrid)? These films are what my friend/installer uses.

 

Main factors that are important:

1. Looking for the "blackest" film

2. Film that adheres to dot matrix and defrost lines

No experience with the automotive film, but the flat glass had a good amount of debris in the film off the roll.  Only reason we bought their film was their Atlanta location is right down the street from us.

I always thought HP Charcoal had a really green undertone too it. I always liked the look of the Raven Select.

Both equally good... Raven is metal free so less heat rejection....

Looks like I will go with the Raven Select to achieve the "blackest" look.

I would like the advantage of a metal film for the heat reduction, but not at the expense of having a green hue in the film.

 

I don't plan on keeping this car long, maybe 3 years, hence why I am using a installer that uses cheaper film.

$150 for the whole car, plus windshield strip, and the guy will come to my work and install.

That's a negative.He will be installing inside.
