Llumar stratos tint on single pane tempered residential window?

Recommended Posts

How risky would it be to put Llumar Stratos 50 on a tempered single pane glass slider door? There is a screen door on the outside as well.

Spec sheet says stratos 50 has 47% solar absorption. Ceramic 45 and 35 of the Vista line have 52% and 62% solar absorption, respectively.

If the ceramic vista series works for flat glass, wouldn't this mean that - from a pane heating perspective, the Stratos should be at no greater risk of breaking the glass than those Vista ceramic tints?
