Recommended Posts

ok I did a PT Crusier the other day and somthing wierd happend...I shrank the whole back window with fabric sheets and then when I went to install it and squeeged it out these small like 1/2 inch little bubbles in the shape of lines kept popping up...I have gotten a few of them before and just heated then up and they went right down but these wouldnt budge! I tried and tried but no luck.... I did it 1 more time and the same thing happend so I had to piece it.....any ideas what im doing wrong or what?

:dunno never heard them refered to as peanuts B4 (in Canada we refer to them as pucks...as in hockey pucks) :phone

TTC is right though...I found the mnot to be an issue with dry shrinking...only wet shrink with a metal component film...Did you get any moisture under the film when shrinking it?

If so ..avoid shrinking where it's wet underneath...certain cars have thivker lines than others ...resulting in "peanuts" :linedrink

Hey they look like peanuts (just don't try to eat 'em :linedrink)

I get them occasionally even dry shrinking if the lines are REALLY thick. Or on a really curved back glass that I wet check (I know a lot of you don't wet check but I DO :dunno)

You can usually work them all out, the "peanuts" that is. Just a PITA!
