2011 Nissan Juke

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, i am not on this side of the forum much as i mainly do PPF so i keep my head in that forum, but did my THIRD ever set of lights working with the Oracal 8300 series transparent cast.

well, just look at them, for some this may be simple, but was a real challenge for me! finally got them done though, the edging on these lights makes them a nightmare

just curious if anyone else has done them? if so any pics? how did it turn out?

Looks good! I'd never be able to get those to look that good!

What benefit's are there other than the obvious time consuming part, is there between tinting lights this way, or taking them out and having them sprayed. I have my tail lights spray by my buddy at a local shop and they look just like paint when they're lit up!

i say a few options, i have tried VHT nite shade, but usually once the lights on it looks like crap, but i could be doing it wrong, looks really good with no light on though.

i like this mainly because its easily removable if wanted and will actually help prevent some light pitting and such.

Yea I tend to stay away from the VHT crap. Half the time even if it's applied correctly, when stepping on the brakes, the lights light up with different brightness's from side to side. And they're never shinny enough for me. To dull looking.

Here's a picture of my tail's I had sprayed. I forget what they used to do it. Pretty much just a translucent black paint. And I never thought of it the way you describe it, with being able to remove it when needed/wanted. Good point!

Wait, what are the laws in your state?

If I leave this thread up, someone might think I condone illegal tinting in your state.

:lol2

I can delete the picture if needed... Or I mean, it's a show car.... Which it kind of is!
